Note that if a player is required to find either of the books Transportation Incantations or Soul journey, it is recommended to read them, as doing so will unlock the Kourend Castle Teleport spell and start the Bear Your Soul miniquest respectively. While the location of the books vary between worlds, the location of the dark manuscripts vary between players, and the locations of both reset after 80–100 minutes. The locations of the books and manuscripts can be extremely narrowed down by speaking to Biblia on the top floor, who will narrow the location of the text the player is looking for down to the floor level and the section of the floor where a requested book is located. Each of these manuscripts that are given to him will grant players 5% favour and a book of arcane knowledge. Once players reach 20% favour, they may speak to Horphis, an Arceuus resident who requires help looking for dark manuscripts. Finding the correct asked for text, it will result in 2.5% favour gained and a book of arcane knowledge.
The Library is the location in which players gain favour with Arceuus by speaking to either Sam, Professor Gracklebone or Villia to search bookcases for books or scrolls around the library for them.
